Pretty Little Liars: Ok, another abc family show...they are cute and have really great styling...what can I say?  I'm hooked:)

24 Hour Catwalk with Alexa Chung...I haven't heard the best reviews on this...I think we are all still sad that she didn't end up doing that vintage show on PBS...hopefully they bring it back...we shall see...

For all of the times that Gossip Girl has a repeat episode, read...

...You Know You Want It by the costume designer, Eric Daman from the fashionista's drama filled show, Gossip Girl. His book called, You Know You Want It really gives you all you want when you are bummed about a repeat of your Monday lineup:)
The book covers everything from how to discover your body type so that every garment fits just right to what Eric Daman's must-haves in his styling kit are---and every fashionista knows she needs a styling kit now. Eric goes beyond what is on the show and gets real with what true fashionista's have in their closets and what they need to do (organize) in their closets. This is a fun and easy book with a new perspective on dressing.

Eric Daman is now traveling the U.S. with Nine West. Follow Nine West on facebook to see if they arr in your town.

Also, there will be a new episode this Monday!!:)

Eric Daman talks us through Gossip Girl style...

They might give us a repeat here and there...but, we know we still LOVE the fashion:) Here's a peek into the style on Gossip Girl with costume designer Eric Daman.

Gossip Girl Style is Popping Up Everywhere

Anna Sui's line is now in stores (Target), unfortunately I heard the quality isn't that good...I should probably stop by tomorrow to finally see it all...we shall see.

The costume designer for Gossip Girl, Eric Daman is now designing for Charlotte Russe believe it or not!  I haven't seen the items yet, but they look really cute in the October Teen Vogue.

Blair Style

I saw this on Youtube today and then noticed while shopping for odds and ends at Wal-Mart today that lo' and behold, Wal-Mart was on the Gossip Girl/Blair trend for headbands and at only $4 and below, so I had to share!!  Sadly, they are not online, but, rush out to the store near you for feather, bow, and more headband styles that you could wish for!

Gossip Girl Finale Fun With Dove, Delicious!

So, I am sad that one of my fave shows is about to take a break...but, I have a fun little twist for the show...Dove Go Fresh is partnering with the show to share new episodes of the "Gossip Girl: Real NYC Stories Revealed" every week after the finale tomorrow.  I will indulge since I will be at a loss with no Gossip Girl every Monday:)  This will be all about real girls of New York's Upper East Side and their day to day lives--including things we all deal with like careers, relationships, beauty, finances, family and friends...I am just excited to see how these girls live---I love getting to see what goes on in the fashion industry through these reality shows!
The reality stars:
  • Chrissie Miller: fashion designer and founder of the Sophomore apparel brand
  • Faythallegra Coleman: emerging Brooklyn-based filmmaker and writer
  • Dani Stahl: style director for Nylon magazine, jewelry designer and “IT” girl
  • Lara Meiland-Shaw: co-founder of a Lara Hélène Bridal Atelier and philanthropist
Now, on the soap:)  I have of course tried this new Dove product and I love it!  I have always been a Dove girl regardless, but this really does smell clean and fresh and is perfect for the summer months in Arizona when you feel like you step outside and just start to sweat:)  By the way, the scent is Nectarine & White Ginger

And, of course, you can join their facebook group, which I am doing right now and get more updates:)

No Need To Pout...

I love how they used a classic woman...kinda like the Juicy Couture.
I have been wanting a shirt like this for sooo long, I LOVE the hood!
See the similarities?  Look up and then down, up and then down:)  Hmmm....thinking you need the dress below...it is already less than $50 and will probably go on sale really soon because the new Go International line will be in stores soon:)

I couldn't find the dresses I saw for Isaac Mizrahi, but I thought the below items were too darling to not include...and they have the same feeling as Lorick.

I have been dreaming of a Lorick piece for what seems like forever...ok, I guess it hasn't been that long since it is a new line...but, I made myself finally go to Target last night to snoop around (it has been forever since I have been...the one nearest to me is really, really far away:).  Well, am I glad that I did!  The recent Go International line that isn't even done by a BIG designer is very similar to the stylings of my coveted Lorick as well as a couple of Isaac Mizrahi pieces...another couple of fun things to note, Revolve Clothing has a couple of really cool fall trend notes that were done by the costume designer of Gossip Girl, and the Lorick New York site has been revamped, and I LOVE the new look!
*Now, yes, I am showing you the Target lines, but I still want, crave and can't wait to get a Lorick item...I just googled sample sales and she has had some...
Looks like they usually happen in April...but, why not call for the 4-1-1???
When/Where: Saturday, April 5th from noon—6pm. 676 Broadway between Bond and Great Jones Sts, second floor (212-529-1407).

Everybody is Talking About...

"Gossip Girl"---Oh, no, their clothes (New York Times article from Sunday Styles)...it's funny, don't you know that is why I have been watching so intently for so long?  LOL!  They are just getting it...and just in time for Back-to-school...well, good for advertisers, the coming of the new season, and people preppy for their fall looks...well, another fun point, I did the interview with Abigail Lorick and now it seems that I got her a spot on a NBC program!  I can't wait till I can tell you when and what she will be doing!

Something to Hold You Off Until Gossip Girl Starts Again: Interview Designer Abigail Lorick

Abigail didn't hold anything back in this interview she is as AMAZING as her clothing!  I love that she is inspired from India and her looks are as classic as my fave 40's vintage dresses!  Become a Lorick Lady today and check out looks before they come back with GG.

Gossip Girl has become quite a success (I make sure and DVR it every week of course!), did you ever expect it to get to the status it is today?
When we signed on for the show we knew it would a hit, but we never thought working with Gossip Girl would be this fabulous and generate so much buzz!

What were your thoughts about contributing to Gossip Girl when it first began?

I was excited and honored to be involved with Gossip Girl.  Everyone working on the show is such a delight…and Blair's style is very LORICK, so we felt it was truly a perfect fit for us.

What do you use as inspiration for your collections?

Each season I like to visit a specific environment and then bring that environment to the everyday lives of our ladies.  We think about the music she is listening to, her means of transportation, the books she is reading and the art she fancies.  We then bring all these components together to create a collection that reflects her environment.

Do you travel for inspiration?  If so, where?

Yes, I do travel for inspiration.  This season, my biggest inspiration is Charleston, South Carolina.  India has also always been a huge inspiration for LORICK.

Where do you plan on selling your collection?

Barneys, NYC
Big Drop, NYC
Dear Fieldbinder, Brooklyn
We One You Two, DC

Who do you see as your customer?

She is 18 to 30 years old.  She is a classic woman, both educated and respectful.  A key detail about our Lorick Lady is that she enjoys getting dressed in the morning and looks forward to playing in the process.

Do you work with celebrities besides the actors on Gossip Girl?

Erin Andrews (amazing!), Lindsay Price, and I believe there have been some recent pulls for Drew Barrymore, Katherine Heigl, Stacy London, and Zooey Deschanel.

What do you have in store for us in the future?

I am SO excited about Spring 09.  The whole collection represents the elegance that woman are capable of carrying throughout all situations and environments.

Where did you go to school for design/or where did you learn how to sew?

I went to the fashion institute in New York and I learned to sew when I was younger in the throws of cutting all of my clothes.

Band/Artist:  Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros

New From Isaac Mizrahi at Target

People keep talking about Isaac leaving Target, or changing his responsibilities to working on Liz Claiborne at Target...so, we shall see...until that happens, Isaac has some new items to check out.
Right on trend this summer with nautical looks.
These 2 pieces are Isaac Mizrahi's "Couture" pieces on the line. These look like a dress that Leighton Meester wore on the taping of "Gossip Girl."

The print is a great piece to add some Native American flair to your wardrobe/trends this summer.

True Love: Lorick

This piece is called, the Lady Jacket, (by Lorick) which can also be worn as a dress...I am truly in LOVE!  This look is a masterpiece!  The neck detail is interesting because it can be worn as a scarf or a hood, w which I adore. (Side note: this designer is always featured on Gossip Girl)
Check out the site Gargyle, this is my new fave site for all things classic-preppy.

What's The Gossip on Gossip Girl

Ok, so, Gossip Girl changed from Wednesday to Monday and now everything has been repeats...what a disappointment...but, since Gossip Girl was only a repeat today I switched over to Girlfriends which was finally new.  Joan only had one interesting look in the first scene which looked like it could have been purchased at Urban Outfitters.  My interpretation of her look is at the top-just add the colored Uggs and you are complete with Joan's look.  Also, I checked out the site and Girlfriends is changing from Mondays to Sundays...everything just keeps moving around.

Fashionalities Sidenote

During my new favorite show, Ultimate Style on the Style Network (hosted by Daisy Fuentes, I remember her fashion show on MTV back in the day:), I found out that Eric, the stylist for Gossip Girl was Patricia Field's assistant for styling Sex and the City. No wonder---that is our connection:) Fashion comes full circle.

New York Fashionalities

Sex and the City=Gossip Girl

A new show, Gossip Girl on the new CW has brought back the weekly fashion indulgences from New York that we have all been longing for since the loss of Sex and the City on HBO (even though there is a movie to come...we still need our weekly fashion fun)...it's a different era of style with Gossip Girl, but, the same risks are being made...it may not be Patricia Fields doing the costume designing and Gossip Girl hasn't helped a designer just yet like Sex and the City did for Manolo or many others...but, great fashion times are to come...Enjoy!
