Flips Flops Havaianas flip flops

While preggers I wore my Havaianas soo much. But, once my feet got grossly swollen I needed to put the good flops on hold and buy some dollar flops at the grocery store. I found ou right away that cheap flip flops don't work for me anymore. They aren't comfy and got flat in two seconds since I weighed so much...Now,I'm not a flip flop everyday girl. But, I need good ones for pedi dates and getaways like my trip to the Dominican Republic I'm already getting ready for in June:) I know, I'm a little excited:) I reached out to Instyle Swimwear that has done guest posts like the one here about swimwear trends in 2013.
They offered to let me try out some new flip flops I had never heard of and I was pretty curious after finding out that not all flip flops are created equal...and now I know that the next HOT flip flop is called the Ipanema and it's soo comfy!  It feels like it is molded to your foot...so squooshiness, but stil so soft and comfy.  I chose a pair with a heart to have fun and do something different...but, they have plain styles too:)  They also have kids and men's styles...I LOVE matching shoes with my kids and hubby now so we will be getting styles to match:)  LOL, what can I say??  This is what family does to you:)  Do you have a fave brand for flip flops?  Check these out and see how fab they feel~so worth it!

Zoe Project is on its way for season 5

I can't wait!!

Mommy glow on the go

I've always been someone who wears bronzer 365. Since having the twins my hormones have been out of whack and giving me the most horrible acne!! Thank goodness the 6 month period after having a baby/babies is almost over and my skin is back to goodness. All that said I'm actually starting to use product again and wanted to share my quick and easy combo that gives me the look like I've gotten a lot of sleep or the pregnancy glow:). Lol, I'm done being pregnant.

Kourtney Kardashian style: As Seen on Kourtney & Kim take Miami

Being that I just had my twins 4 months ago I'm LOVING how Kourtney is keeping stylish and still taping a show for that matter right after having a kid.  I'm in LOVE with Mara Hoffman right now so I was searching for the high/low dress she was rocking in the first episode right away.  I was super excited when I saw that it is on SALE!  I'm planning on owning something Mara Hoffman for my trip to the Dominican Republic...you better believe it:)  I actually prefer how Kourtney looked in this being short and with flats...thoughts?  Did anyone see the show?  This is from the Outnet for $203.

Guest Post: Adding Sparkle to Your Winter Wardrobe

I've been watching American Idol to see what will transpire with Mariah Carey and Niki Minaj and have noticed that Mimi likes to rock a piece of bling with every ensemble.  I thought it would be fun to work with an online jeweler, Anjolee to get tips on how to add sparkle to your winter wardrobe.  This site is great because they can personalize any piece you come up with!  Who doesn't want a piece of jewelry no one else has!?:)  Hope you enjoy this sponsored post!:)

There are some people, like myself, who eagerly await the winter season.  They love nothing more than to snuggle into bed with hot cocoa in one hand and a good book in the other.  And then there are those who want nothing more than to flee the biting cold and follow the sun wherever it may go.  Whether you fall into the category of bikini babe or bundled-up beauty, there is one thing we all have in common, we all want to look our best no matter the weather.  This season add some sparkle to your winter wardrobe.  Who ever said winter has to be limited to scarves and turtlenecks?

This winter warm up your wardrobe with chic gold bangle bracelets.  Bangles are just the right accessory to turn to, whether you are pairing them up with a sweater dress and boots during the day or with heels and a sexy top for a hot night out.  They can transform an outfit from classy to edgy.  Not only are they great for every occasion and easy to wear, but they also come in a large variety of styles.  If you happen to be a fan of the classic look, then a bracelet with a clean, smooth row of diamonds, like the Classic Prong Set Diamond Bangle, is what you are looking for.  On the other hand, if you want more dazzle, then go for a fancier design that is blanketed with rows of diamonds.  This season adorn your wrist with a sleek bangle bracelet and you will surely turn any gloomy day into a sunny one.

For a real classic shine, diamond earrings are a one of a kind.  They are the perfect must-have for your own wardrobe, as well as the perfect gift.  These days you can find a wide range of diamond earrings from timeless studs to fashionable and flirty hoops to elegant drop earrings.  Diamond studs no longer come in just one style.  Now you have the cream of the crop to choose from with styles such as Trillium Diamond Studs, Flower Shaped Cluster Studs, and Quad Block Studs, to name a few.  Hoop earrings are another wardrobe staple.  Hoops are the perfect way to add some sparkle to your outfit, keeping your look both casual and stylish.  And for those special evenings, bring out your exquisite diamond drop earrings, which will surely make heads turn.

The best way to warm up any heart this season is with a diamond engagement ring.  Right next to the wedding ring, the engagement ring is the most important piece of jewelry you will buy your other half.  Make a lasting impression with a beautiful and meaningful ring.  This ring should reflect her beauty and your love.

So this winter as you layer up with your coat, scarf, and boots, remember to add some sparkle and excitement to your wardrobe with any of these tasteful pieces.

How to Wash Any Fabric | Hand Washing Clothes | Fab How To

Great tips to take note of this weekend while your catching up on laundry!

Who I'm following on American Idol season 13: Kiara Lanier

Each season I watch the first few episodes to see what type of people are auditioning...I always gravitate toward someonw with a little more style...they might not win..but, I like to see someone who will inspire me.  With music and style.

So far, I'm watching Kiara Lanier.  I love her style, her hair and just her personality.  If you're not watching.  Here are some videos where you can see what I mean.  Lets see how long she lasts this season.

Fun shopping on Poshmark

Recently I've been a-ddict-ed to Poshmark! Poshmark is an app where you can easily buy, sell, trade items second hand. I am always going to the search section and looking up styles and designers I'm loving right now. I thought I'd share a few of my finds and looks that I plan on executing with the new piece.

If you are interested in checking Poshmark app out get a $5 code for signing up by using this code: HBAEC.

P.S. the other great thing is you can negotiate prices and bundle items from sellers.

Making DIY easier from Glitter n Glue

One of my fave DIY bloggers, Glitter n Glue has come up with the most genius concept! She's not only sharing very doable DIY projects. But, now she's also selling what you need to make the DIY projects on her site for a steal! That way you can get started right away and get the DIY project for the deal she had intended you to get! Isn't it amazing!?  Her first assembly required DIY kits are for rings.

A new fashion webshow to indulge in:) 212 VIP | Season 2 Teaser | Are they on your list?

I missed the first season of this fashion webshow featuring bloggers from around the world working on a webshow with Carolina Herrera.  I can't wait to watch season 1 and now season 2.  Enjoy!

P.S. I'm still hearing about fashion focused programs for this new year which excites me!
*Kimora is back on the Style Network on January 23rd!  woohoo!
*Did I already share a new show called, Double Divas on Lifetime that's all about bras??:)
What are you watching?

Trend to try now: tunics and dresses over pants

I had highlighted this trend after reviewing the spring 2013 trends. But, this morning, Who What Wear and one oh my fave bloggers, Working Girl Esq highlighted the trend and made me excited about trying it again. Of course, this is inspired from the Indian "suits" pairing a tunic/kamis with pants/salwar. Both recommend pairing the look with a blazer which I'll have to try.  But, this is a look that is easy to dress up or down.  Freshens up you work wardrobe you can get tired of or makes an easy, and comfy look for running around with the kids.

Just learned what Canadian Tuxedo means...

Wearing denim on denim. Which has been a strong trend for a few years now. Here are some fun new ways to try wearing the trend and a new way to refer to it:)

Update: I started working on this a while ago because my hubby had told me about the new term...apparently my fave bloggers, Honestly WTF were n'sync with moi and posted the same thing today with some great ideas. Thought I would finish up my post (finally...it's harder with 3 kids to take care of:) and give some other ideas I found. Hope you find inspiration from both!

Let's bring back the denim skirt...ready, set, go:)

It's all about using two different colors of denim...dark/light...and I love the mochila bag plus the heels...will be doing this...Plus, notice the rolled cuff on the jeans...kinda goes back to the top...love.  P.S. you can get a mochila like this one from Flechada.

DIY idea on the knees...love the oversized denim shirt.  And the shoes are to DIE!

I love the new silhouette for the denim top here.  And then this is more like a suit, matchy matchy version of the trend.  Thoughts?

Once again, the denims here are a little more similar here.  I LOVE the use of the ivory blazer to break it up and add a little funk.

J. Crew can do no wrong...I think I saw the denim layering there first actually....keep watching their catalogs for more brilliant inspiration for how to wear this fun pair of denim on denim!

#curlytalk What to use to dry curly hair

I've tried everything from paper towels, old t-shirts and old pillowcases.  But, none are really that cute.  Recently, I've started using my turkish towel and my curls are perfection!  Plus, they are cute and can be used for other great things:
*dries quickly
*use as a throw blanket.
*use as a beach towel.
*use as a scarf.
*I can see them being used as a table runner.

My fave looks from the Golden Globes

I don't usually post on the awards ceremony red carpets...but, actually watched the special on E! And wanted to watch the actual show...but, the kids decided to start screaming so that will be watched mañana. Here were a few of my thoughts. P.S. can't wait to watch the fashion police special on E! At 9pm tomorrow to see their thoughts:)

*J. Lo: looked amazing as ever and is still one of my inspirations everyday that I work out...but, I just feel like she's done the look she did last night and I'm ready for something new.

* Halle: love you too, but I'm so over this go-to look now.

*Sienna Miller: didn't love the actual piece she was wearing...but loved that it was 2 pieces (something different) and I'm really starting to dig the two studs on one side earring look with no earring on the other side...thinking of trying this.

*Kerry Washington: looked flawless! I love the length! I'm going to be following her on twitter ASAP!

*Nicole Richie: I loved everything about this look!!! Long sleeves, the designer, Naeem Khan...her hair. Just perfection! Same designer was also worn by Jon Hamm from Mad Men's wife.

* Zosia Mamet: loved her entire look! She is from my fave show in its second season, 'Girls.' Which also got an award for best tv series.

*Jessica Alba: loved that necklace!

Here are a few of my tweets while watching the celebs on the red carpet:

Street style: the fur stole

I know, I know...it's fur... Use faux...but, I keep seeing fur stoles layered over everything and thinks it's pretty genius. Check it out and be inspired. Perfect no matter how cold it's getting where you are.
