What's on my list of must-haves for the 3.1 Phillip Lim for Target Collection, plus extra insider info

Mark your calendars September 15th is the day the collection is released online and in stores!  I will be waiting the morning of at my local store!  I'm not going to do like I did for the Missoni store and try to buy online...things were sold out instantly and then sold online for way too much.  Not worth it.  Even if I get to be at home.

I can't wait to get these sweats!  I keep seeing sweats for the fall and want to try the trend out.

I always LOVE a trench and this is going to have to join my team of trenches:)
The bags are AMAZING!!!!!  I can't wait to see them in person!!!

Here are some things to note about the collection:

-Several pieces are exclusive to (not sold in stores), including select apparel, handbags, and shoes.
-(I can't believe this!!!!!  Makes it even better!!) Prices from $19.99-$299.99 with most items under $49.99.
-The collection boasts a fall palette of neutral tones and prints and features a variety of versatile pieces that easily transition from day to night - think classic trench coats, tailored pants, button downs and structured blazers.
-(Which is your favorite piece?)  This is what Target thinks will be the HOT items: Top sellers are expected to be: the Black Tote with Gusset, the Woven Sparkle Dress, the Knit Animal Print Dress and the Woven Floral Shirt Dress!

Taking style notes from the September Catalog for Free People

Loving the light, white shirt with black jeans and a fall hat.

I'm loving how this new way to wear sweats is everywhere.

Every look here gets me excited about boho for fall!

LOVING the jacket and can't wait to try this sock with open back boots:)

Both looks here are brilliant!

I can't wait for this video and have this song on repeat right now!  Addicted!

New Designer Find via Instagram: Wonderland Honolulu

I love when you find something new and don't expect it!  That's what seems to happen these days while I'm scanning pics on Instagram.  I was excited when I saw @phoenixishaute sharing a pair of the flamingo pom pom shorts on her instagram feed.  I knew right away I had to have these shorts in my life and I needed to learn more about the brand since I MIGHT move to Hawaii...even if I don't, I just really LOVE all things Hawaii:)  Check out all of the fun info about the brand below and check out their site/blog and instagram for more fun!

1. When did you start your business?

I started with customized, dyed denim cutoffs and vintage pieces about two years ago, cut and sew shortly after that.

2. Why did you start designing your line?

The shorts really took off and ideas just kept springing up. I went to school for fashion design & merchandising and I swore I'd never sew anything again but I've been really inspired and driven this year!
3. Are you from Hawaii? What part?

4. What inspires your designs?

Life at the beach! Our stuff translates from a day at the beach to a fun night out. It's a little more urban and weird than traditional resort wear. Young, fun, down to earth.

5. Where are you sold in Hawaii and outside of Hawaii?

I have a full stockist list on my website, but some notables are Homecoming and Fighting Eel in Honolulu, Van De Vort in Del Mar (San Diego), Edith Hart in Chicago, The Surf Bazaar in the Hamptons, Prism Boutique (a new fave of mine:) in Long Beach, The Bikini Fox online, and Mermaids in Miami.

6. How did you come up with the name of your label?

I had a really hard time thinking of something but Wonderland just popped up and it felt appropriate so it stuck. The line is kind of whimsical. It's made for all the tropical wonderlands of the world. It's what you wear when you are in paradise.  (or, I say dreaming of paradise:)

7. Who is your customer?

Mostly young (teens-twenties) girls who live an active life warm climates of course. We're very print-driven and we love bright colors, so it's really young and fun.

8. What does she wear your pieces with?

Premium swimwear! We love seeing our girl in a Wonderland beach kimono paired with a rad swimsuit from our friends at Beach Riot or Tori Praver. Acacia, L*Space, Mikoh, and Tavik are other swimwear brands we pair well with.

9. Do you just see your pieces worn at the beach? If not, where else is your customer rocking these fab designs?

The pieces are all made to wear both at the beach and in daily life. Some of the prints are loud so it takes a certain girl to wear them out but we do a lot of cute dresses and rompers that can go either way. The chiffon kimonos go great with denim and a tank to really elevate an outfit in a quick and easy way.

10. What are your favorite magazines and blogs?

Of course I love Foam Magazine (I LOVE too!!), they were the first to do beachwear and streetwear together in a really high fashion editorial way. Goldfish Kiss, Keller Rose, and Pineapple Ice are good friends and great bloggers too!

I'm excited because I was one of the 50 bloggers chosen to participate in Marshall's #projectfab contest.  They sent us a $100 gift card and we got to share our #fabfound 's.  You can share your finds by using #fabfound and get a chance of winning a $50 gc!  If I win, I will be one of the 25 bloggers that gets to share my fab finds from Marshall's and share on my blog and social media outlets.

I'm all about kimono's right, I was soo excited when I found this one for only $16.99!!  Snatched it up and will be wearing this so much!  It just makes a basic pairing, like tank and shorts stand out.

This was all about mixing prints.  The pants are by Lucky brand and were on sale for only $10!!!  I mixed it with a vintage Mexican top:)

It's all about the fab sweatshirt here!  I love the fringe!  I will be wearing this all of the time!  Here it's paired with my Missoni skirt and silver SaltWater Sandals.

I shopped 3 Marshall's stores to find items from the Free People brand and was beyond excited when the 3rd location had some! This tank is $29.99 and has a really cool cut!

I wish I could have shot all of the looks over here...this was only done because the twins had gone to sleep:). Here, I'm wearing the denim dress (from Marshall's) for only $24.99 as a layering piece.  It can be worn as a dress alone with another belt...or, later with a thermal shirt under...there are a ton of ways this can be styled.  I can't wait!

As you can tell, my picks were very can check out my Instagram (@fashionalities) to see the other items I highlighted under #fabfound.  Marshall's offers items that are on trend from an oxblood section to items perfect for work.  There is a selection for every style.

The new mom chop...are you going to do it?

Beyonce just did a dramatic cut and everyone is talking about it...but, I've noticed that a lot of celeb moms do this drastic cut after having this something you would do?  I'd say it would be convenient to have a style that you could just wake up and go...but, I don't think I could ever go that short...maybe with a wig:)

On the Beyonce cut...I know there is no comparison...but, I preferred when Solange did her cut to go au was more of a statement and testament to her style...I am not sure if B did it to go natural or because of the wig performance issue...

The mommy cut

You won't want to miss out on this $49 deal on Theodora & Callum scarves

Theodora and Callum scarves for ONLY $49!

These scarves are AMAZING!  I am a brand ambassador and I'm lucky enough to get a scarf per season.  They usually retail for $150 and up...but, you can do soo much with them and the brand shows you how to use them in various ways.  Plus, the prints are beautiful and inspired by the designers travels.

Watch out clogs and crocs...Birks are back

I'm from Portland,, I already know what you are thinking:). But, I keep seeing these Birkenstocks everywhere and I'm intrigued.  Not only are they comfy (perfect for mommy's:)...but, I always love how an item you would never, ever consider will be reworked by a fashionista in a way you would have never thought and then you want to try it out for yourself.  I'm seriously searching for a pair on Poshmark.  Stay tuned.

Not sure what color I'm going to try...but, white makes it kind of new and different.

Literally sexing it up...

Laid back cool with black jeans and a tee.

Cut out boot look for less X's 4

Apparently last year, everyone wanted the Balenciaga Rocoe boot that had cut-outs at the center...

This is that boot (the Balenciaga).
Not really my style.

I kept seeing everyone posting a cut-out boot on instagram and Pinterest and was going crazy trying to figure out who they were by.  I found a ton of price points and had to share them with the other fashionistas that like me needed to know where they could find these gems:)

The first: by Jeffrey Campbell and come at two price points.  I don't think I can give into the trend at this price point...but, if you can they are AMAZING and the ones I keep seeing everywhere.

Jeffrey Campbell Everly This version is $195... comes in a couple of colors.  I love the white...but, not very practical for moi right now...and the tan is REALLY cute!

Everly Boot This version is $295!  $100 extra and I think it's because of the heel detail...not sure if I would pay that much extra...but, they are CUTE!:)

Style: Hailee by Leila Stone at Shoe Dazzle has a version that is higher...don't prefer the height as much...but, for ladies who prefer a higher heel this works.  Plus, price is only $49.95.  Comes in two colors.
Stylist, Rachel Zoe recommends wearing these:

Rock these booties all year round with your favorite go-to basics for an effortlessly cool look.

Now, the beauties I found on ASOS (New Look Chase Cut Out Heeled Ankle Boots) I'm REALLY excited about!!!  Less than $50, plus FREE SHIPPING!  Doesn't get better:)

Their styling is always perfection!  I love the lines colors and silhouettes.  Apiece Apart doesn't need to go crazy with over styling their designs or adding funky prints...they just keep it simple and still make a statement.  I'm in LOVE!
