Excited to share that I am a Theodora and Callum Spring Brand Ambassador

Do you remember this fab brand from Eat, Pray, Love?  They were one of Oprah's faves!  Well, I've been following the brand since then and loving that they are all about travel (something I LOVE to do).
I have shared a video from them before on how to tie scarves, but now that I've received a new one from the brand I have to show this video that I'm excited to try out with my new, fab scarf:)

My dream jobs

People alway ask me what I would do if I had stayed in New York or just if I could do anything...most think I would want to be a designer...so, here's a little peek into what I would want to do...I was inspired to share this after I was so excited watching the OPRAH show today:)

Fashion Editor to a fab fashion mag like Marie Claire, LUCKY, Bazaar or VOGUE
or just working in the fashion office of a fashion focused department store like Bergdorf Goodman or Henri Bendel...and let's not leave out Saks or Nemans:)


For those of you still going to school and trying to figure out what you want to do...buy the teen VOGUE HANDBOOK...it has all the answers!  And just remember, it's all about having fun doing what you LOVE!

Oprah's Young Moguls: Mary-Kate & Ashley Olsen

I was trying to find the video online today after watching it on my DVR...but, it looks like Oprah's people have ensured that it is not just anywhere...they are probably working on uploading the videos on Oprah's page on Youtube, so keep checking if you missed the episode..it is worth checking out...

Jean: Big Booty Problem

After watching the DVR of an Oprah Episode called, Booty Basics with Stacy London and other stylists assistance to find the best looks for every butt.  I related to the first guest with a small waist and big butt and thighs.  Stacy didn't really hit on the type of jean she would recommend, but she did state that no matter what jean or pant that you buy you have to have them altered.  Buy the pant that fits in the butt and thigh area and then take the rest in-regardless of the size, a better fit is ALWAYS better.  That way it isn't tight everywhere else just to fit the waist.  But, I did find some jeans from (what Marc Jacobs refers to as the best brand jean out of all of them:) Levi's.  The style is Curvy Boot and it does just that, sticks to the right curves.  The front lays low, while the back rise is higher ensuring coverage to avoid, "Crack Kills" ever being said to you.  These are going to be by far, my fave jeans for a while.  And there was a great price point under $100...

If I were to pay over $100, here are a couple of jean brands I have heard are AMAZING for the small waist big booty syndrome:

Joe's Jeans, Honey Style

James Jean Regular Boot Cut-Hector Zeus 

Note: Girls with booties should stay away from jeans with a lot of pocket detail on the back.

For slacks, get the style with a wide band at the waist and a mid-width leg opening so it is not super wide, but not basic straight...this creates a great way to hide imperfections. 

Am I crazy, or do Sarah Jessica Parker and Celine Dion look like sisters?

I don't know if it is seeing Celine Dion on Oprah last week because of her need to buy new CD or seeing Sarah Jessica Parker on every site, magazine or Celebrity News Show since the taping of Sex and the City the movie, but I seem to find SJP and Celine Dion very similar.  What do you all think:)

Oprah Knows Best

After seeing the ads for Simply Vera in my September issues, reading the article about Vera Wang's daughters thoughts on the their mothers new line at Kohl's in Teen Vogue and then seeing the commercial...I knew that I had to go to Kohl's (where I have never really shopped) and check out the line...But, after seeing Oprah's episode on the new line by Vera Wang called Simply Vera, I have to go...not only is everything a great price, the quality looks AMAZING and the styling is there of course, it is Vera...But, I took some notes during the show that I had to share from Vera.

Everything on the line can be dressed up or down...and the styling says Vera so much, but the pieces individually can speak to so many people.

The Oprah show on Friday also had a segment on how Vera dresses and what her closet looked like...I loved that...I am trying to find it...if I do, I will share the segment. Check out more pictures of the clothes from Simply Vera by selecting the title above.

Style your sweaters/Cardigans now by:
-Adding a broach to the openings at the top as a closure instead of using the buttons
-Wear the cardigan over a long sleeve blouse and scrunch up the cardigan to your elbow, but keep the blouse sleeve long
-A new category to consider, "dressy day". You shouldn't just dress up at night.
