Weekend shopping: The pieces that caught my eye while flipping through the June 2012 catalog for Nordstrom

Nordstrom weekend shopping

1.  Everyone needs a straw bag and this one is only $29!  I love the color!
2.  This dress has a classic silhouette that would look great on any figure with the fun print.  Once again, loving the straw bag and the styling here is great.  It shows that this dress doesn't only need to be paired with a dressy handbag.  Although it could:)
3.  LOVING this sheer layered top!  This would also be great worn over a summer cotton maxi or a bikini.
4.  This bralette is a great layering piece. You could rock this under the #3 sheer top.

*I'm pouting right now because some of the items I was loving are already sold out!  Well, at least online...I will have to visit my Phoenix stores and see if I get lucky:)

My new shopping secret: Shopping the childrens section for my accessories

Since having my daughter I've started noticing great items in the children's section at great prices!  Nordstrom, Crew Cuts and Gap Kids are my goldmines:)

I've wanted to buy a sweater from Crew Cuts, but since there were no returns and I wasn't sure on the size I let it go...

But, I have bought a gorge headband at Nordstrom for less than $10 and spotted watches, handbags and jewelry I would buy too!

Gap Kids also has great watches and jewelry.

Plus, I was just reading on the J. Crew tumblr page that the ladies that work at J. Crew also but the boys Crew Cuts blazers!  Proves my point!  Women don't just need to shop the adults section...check out the kids too:)  Great deals...and actually a lot of really cute styles!

Found: Maternity Clothes on Shop it to Me for a Great Price!

Since I have been preggers I changed my profile on Shop it to Me right away to reflect my search for maternity clothes at a great price (that of course were cute)! And, it's just that easy...without stress, each day I received my regular selection of fashion items with a few maternity items to choose from with each category.  GENIUS!

Just today, I received a great deal from Nordstrom for a Juicy Couture (a must-have for comfy wear while preggers) dress.  And the price, from $118 to $34!  How could you say no?!

Recessionista Seals the Deals!

Today was my BIG day to run around and spend the money that I received for my Birthday so I made sure that I spread it out as much as possible with the deals I found.  I ended up having a very lucky day today so, I had to of course share the deals I found so others can be as fortunate:) *I am going to share backwards...too much work to fix the images and everything---I am being lazy:)
3rd stop: Dillards---I have never really shopped at Dillards...it's usually Nordstrom's or maybe Macy's...but, I went in for work today to pull for my photo shoot on Thursday and my heart jumped when I saw items marked down 70 percent!  How can you say no?  I have also always heard my friends gush about their French Connection deals at Dillards...well, I nabbed a BCBG dress that was usually at least $200 for $30!  There is just no beating this day!
2nd stop: JCPenney---now, I went for a specific top and all they had was an XS and I wanted it be larger...so, I was going to give up and then, decided to at least look a little to see if it might be somewhere else and found a jacket for $9.99!  Now, you know I was even more excited when the lady at the register said, "$7.98!"  I was like ok, now I can get the shirt tomorrow and not even feel bad:)  So, today has been nothing but good deals:)  I am of course going to follow up with more deals tomorrow after I sell a pair of jeans I haven't worn for a pair from KMart that were screaming my name;)hahaha...it doesn't stop in my world...but, I keep on sharing:) *the jacket is no longer online...but, there were so many at the store don't miss out!
1st stop: KMart...I have been wanting this skirt ever since I saw it...and then, I noticed that in my April issue of LUCKY there was a copycat look that resembled my KMart item...now, the skirt has gone down to $12, so I had to nab it!  Now to just find the blouse that I think is a chic addition to any wardrobe!  If anyone has seen a silky crew neck top with 3/4 sleeves...please share:)  The funny part was that I had to try and keep my cool because there were so many items that caught my eye...but, I decided, this is what I came for...so stay focused and leave:)
First, I had a lot of reaction to the blouse that I was wearing today that
I bought for a mere $5 at Target two weeks ago...now, online it says $12, but you have to go into the store I guess if you want the deal...and it is worth it!

Plus, I heard Macy's is having a really good sale and I stopped into Urban Outfitters and it almost felt like the whole store was on sale:)  And check out the $30 and below sale section that Nordstrom's always has!

Me First...Well, Kind Of...

Taking care of yourself during this type of economy almost seems somewhat selfish...but, with the stress getting to you everyday there needs to be some type of compensation...I have a couple of ways to add a little something relaxing to your life without taking too much money out of the bank.

I experienced this last week and fell in LOVE!  Across the U.S., a variety of spas offer $50 deals on services that usually cost $100-200 and up of course...this is a great way for people like you and I to test and try these services some of us dream of...and I have to say after this little tease I am already planning on going back:)  The 45 minute massage I had at Dolce Spa was divine!  And the pedicure was the best I have ever had from the service to the little details to ensure that I was as comfy as possible.  Plus, just because I had so much fun, I want to share a $25 off coupon for someone's experience of anything worth $40 or more!  Just leave a comment at the end of the blog about your fave Spa experience.
*The trick I got from Spa Week was to take advantage of the amenities that spas have even if you have a service as small as a pedi...if the spa is fabulous, you will have a grand time the rest of the day regardless of what you had done and know you saved some cash:)

When I first heard of this franchise I thought it was only tanning and I didn't even think twice...since I no longer tan...but, a friend told me that she was starting a membership and I got curious.  Apparently a monthly membership fee of approx $54 leaves you with limitless possibilities to relax.  I took advantage of a week free pass from the friend that signed up and did a Hydro-Derma Fusion treatment.  I could not believe how much water I must have lost from this service.  It was very interesting...kind of like a glorified sauna...but, it was cool I can't deny...but, I just couldn't decide if I would go on a regular basis to not waist the 2 year contract I would have to sign...but, for those who are interested, they offer a lot of services from what I did to teeth whitening and of course massages and facials:)

3.  At Home Option
This is totally worth the money and time!  I have been in LOVE with this product since day one!  My Clarisonic Brush makes my skin feel renewed every time I use it!  I have seen it sold from Sephora to Nordstrom.  I think every woman needs this at home...I use this after a long day to nights when I decide I am doing at home spas:)  The set comes with two brushes...one for your face and the other for the body as well as three different types of cleansers for what you are looking for each time you use it.

Get Ready for Spring: Marc by Marc Jacobs @ Nordstrom

NORDSTROM.com-Shop new styles from Marc by Marc Jacobs
Get ahead of allthe trends and attend the Marc by Marc Jacobs Trunk Show at Nordstrom for all things fabulous.  Marc's, Marc by Marc Jacobs line is less expensive than his Marc Jacobs line which makes it easier on our wallets but doesn't challenge the style.  Pre-order online today or call and sign up for the trunk show...there are more items online that you can browse through as well. I love the ruffle on this dress as well as the mix of black and blue on the fabric.

I
I love, love, love this vest, that I would wear like this or without the blouse and a pencil skirt or fun denim shorts and heels.
I love the entire look here...I get a resort feel from this look for a younger, edgier resorter.
I LOVE this skirt, it looks like a Pucci print...
