The Spiegel email that caught my attention

I don't check my Spiegel emails everyday...or really visit the site that much.  But, when I read that a celeb stylist was doing something with the brand my interest was peaked and I decided to check it out.  I actually liked four of the items (the necklace, the gray jacket, gray shoes and white handbag:) in the email blast and then noticed that the brand offers a magazine on their site too.  The magazine didn't really do much for me honestly...I doubt I'll be checking every week or anything...but, I think they have some good pieces if you search which like almost anywhere you shop...so, why not?  Plus, if you sign up for email updates you get 15% off.
Insider's Info:
I used to work at a catalog and we always found inspiration from what was out there from designer clothing to popular brands or department store catalogs that were on trend.  So, you never know, you just might find something similar to what you had your eye on here...

The necklace reminds me of the Lanvin for H&M necklace my style icon, Tracee Ellis Ross rocked last month.  (image from essence.com and Getty Images)

Dress it Down...well, at least the price

I was reading a Glamour magazine blog about fab dresses under $50 and I had to share two of the dresses that sparked my attention.
The first, a Speigel dress that has the sheath silhouette that I seem to be all over right now with a matching color belt and added pocket detail to make this a-not-so-basic sheath dress...I am staying with the bright colors though with the orange hue as my first choice.  The Glamour choice was the winter white.
The second, looks like it is on sale, so I have to get it soon, but the Gap dress has the bat sleeve that has caught my eye recently.
*For both dresses, I would add a different color skinny belt to change the look.  But, both can do with the belt that comes with it.
This all brings me to agree with the JC Report article, "Are the Glossies Losing Their Luster."  I still get every issue out there and just get inspired...that is what has always been about for me anyway:)

Catalog Turned Store, The Well-Known Catalog, Spiegel Opens their First Store

Spiegel new store opening
I remember the first time I saw a Delias in the mall and I was soo excited and surprised...I wonder how a free-standing Spiegel will be...I have skimmed the pages since I was a kid and my mom would get the catalog with the free gift for $5....well, it will be nice to go to the store and get their trendy, inexpensive pieces without having to buy the catalog or the S&H for that matter...this is something to schedule into your plans if you are visiting PA:)
