Lip Gloss Trick

I learned something new a month ago that I thought I would share with you all finally...so, I own like a billion lipglosses and they are all over the house and in every purse that I own...well, about a month ago, I was having my makeup done and the makeup artist was completing my look with the coveted gloss and as I began to smack my lips she gasped and was like STOP!  Apparently after you apply just let it gloss...do not smack your lips together trying to smooth it out...nope, you are losing the gloss that way...you may have already known this, but I thought I would share:)

This piece is called, the Lady Jacket, (by Lorick) which can also be worn as a dress...I am truly in LOVE!  This look is a masterpiece!  The neck detail is interesting because it can be worn as a scarf or a hood, w which I adore. (Side note: this designer is always featured on Gossip Girl)

I saw, Lauren from the Hills sporting this hair style in the last couple of episodes of the Hills and now, I see everyone sporting this style...are you trying to rock it?  I personally don't know how to french braid, or I would give the look a twist and wear it with my crazy, curly hair:)

The Bag To Carry for the SATC movie!

I just found out about this tote a couple of days ago...I might just be out of the loop, but I figured I would share the find with everyone:)  The tote is actually carried in the movie by Carrie Bradshaw (AKA SJP)...I think it is a fabulous way to celebrate the movie!  Plus, wearing a pair of sassy shoes...there are contests going on everywhere to giveaway a pair of shoes for the fashionista day...so, check out the local shoe boutiques in your area!

Did you know that Sam & Libby shoes are the new and improved Sam Edelman brand?! You can find Sam Edelman in any trendy boutique across the states and who would have known that the brand used to be Sam & Libby, which I never owned...now I own a pair of Sam Edelman's that I have so worn out:)

Just What I Was Looking For...

I have been searching for a nude/tan pump for what seems like Forever!  I had a pair a couple of years ago that I wore out till they just had to be thrown away...but, after seeing Tracee Ellis Ross looking so fab in hers...of course, I had to have a pair...and, I finally found a perfect pair that fit the price and style that I needed and they were from Marshalls new, and improved shoe department...and funny enough, the brand is Jessica Simpson!  I keep telling people she does not fail to surprise people with her shoe business...she might be having problems in her relationships...but, she knows what she is doing with shoes...the cost, $39.99, the style, AMAZING!  Marshalls is now carrying brands like: Nine West, Coach, and Juicy Couture!  They are not letting us down girls...so, rush in for great prices and styles you might not find anywhere else! 

Cropped Pants Found!

*There was a 3rd pair...the pants that I found in the store...but, they are not online yet...I will take a pic of them tomorrow for you all:)

I have been writing and searching for the perfect cropped pant this season after reading about them in every mag and seeing them on the Spring Must-Have Items on Who What Wear Daily and today, I found them at Old Navy...a casual version...but, fabulous...These aren't capri's and they aren't pedal pushers...they are right about the ankle and you could even cuff them for more effect...they look perfect with funky wedges this season or sky scraper heels. 

Finally In To Shorts!

I have never formally owned a pair of shorts, meaning I have purchased a pair of shorts here and there, but never actually worn or kept for long enough to say they were mine...well, I have purchased and worn (once so far) a pair of Theory Shorts...yes, I said Theory...that is to ensure that I will wear these bad boys...the rest of the shorts I may (still thinking about it) buy will most likely be from Forever 21, Target and Walmart...but, I needed the first pair to ensure that I will for sure wear them and do the work I need to get there...Run 3 miles a day (5 days a week) and do 150-200 lunges every day that I can!  By July I want to be wearing these shorts with heels...I think that is the sexiest look ever!

Do I Need To Change Subscriptions?

I just read on Fashion Week Daily that Nina Garcia is leaving ELLE in September to go to MARIE CLAIRE!  I still can't believe it!  The funny thing is I just got the June issue off the newsstand last week (since I do not subscribe yet:) and I actually saw a lot of interesting things and decided to register on the website for emails (which I did yesterday).  The other interesting thing about this magazine is my previous boss at my first internship with CosmoGIRL! is Ann Shokett, the now editor-in-chief of SEVENTEEN magazine and is always on America's Next Top Model.  She asked me about 2 years ago, what I thought of Marie Claire and I told her the truth...I thought it had an interesting angle incorporating news about other women in other countries, a really strong perspective on women in the working world and then the 101 ideas for fashion was always signature...but, I never looked a the magazine for any fashion direction...maybe, that will change now...
