Fall Belt-It

The new way to wear a skinny belt: double up!  I LOVE the idea!  Use some from Forever and get a great affect.  Use one plain style belt and one with a great color or hardware detail.
Just because...I saw someone wearing the AMAZING studded belt that SJP was wearing a couple of times in the movie yesterday and about went crazy!  When she told me it was sold for $195 at about 40 boutiques in the U.S. and are basically on pre-order only because so many people want it...I was like, there goes that belt...but, there is hope...which I am surprised I
didn't realize before...Patricia Field sells the belt on her site for $120!  Sounds like a perfect Christmas gift!  Like Pat (Patricia Field) says on the extended version of the SATC movie that I just got today (hahaha I bought the wrong version the first copy I bought) she chose pieces that would be timeless, and if someone watched the movie 20 years later, they could still relate to the clothing.  I can see this belt lasting in my wardrobe for a very long time!

This is For Fall

Believe it or not, this look by DVF is for Fall and I love it! Why do we have to go dark and heavy for Fall? We are transitioning and this is an exciting look to express that. I LOVE the color combination (jewel tones are strong) and I find the trend of a "sleeveless jacket," which, isn't that just a vest:) a perfect layering piece for the fall as it begins to get cold. Also...the skinny belt seems to stay strong during the fall, so do not chuck any that you have been storing. I think that the JCrew bow skinny metallic belt could be a great investment piece or something for you to watch to go on sale for your fall wardrobe. I think that the mettallics are perfect for fall and the bow would be great paired with a blouse, skirt, or a fabulous dress...it makes any basic look a little special.

Fashionalities Perspective

The NY Post did a great article about hi-low dressing…which I have been doing for years….I think that Fashionalities everywhere are accepting this and were already doing this…but, I think everyone else is still either all designer, all Target or Wet Seal, and stuck up about flea markets and thrift stores…here are my picks for hi-low dressing that I adore. If you don't want to look like everyone else, or just cut out of a magazine, put together the look that says you...regardless of where it is from and how much it costs, it is all about what catches your eye.

I love this chunky sweater with a skinny belt from http://www.shopbop.com/, Designer: Vince Cost: $340
But....

Sweaters you can also get vintage from vintage shops,Thrift Stores, and ebay...but, just watch for holes in the fabric from moths. Nice and chunky $16, at http://www.curbside-couture.com/
And pair with a skinny belt from Forever21 for $7.80:

Is this hi or low?

Dresses w/ Pockets

But, accessories can't be bought low...accessories are what add the oomph to a look...a pair of Christian Louboutins, diamond earrings, or an LV purse (or classic leather bag for those who do not like labels) can add class to a look that was bought at Forever 21 or H&M. The thing is to wear what you love...but, keep it from looking cheap...no one needs to know where you bought it, unless you want them to know:)
