The look for less: Lemlem scarf vs. Merona Target Scarf

There is no denying that the Lemlem scarf is great quality and for a good cause...but, a good price is a good price. When I saw the Xhilaration scarf on sale I had to have it for only $8!

Inspiration from none other than Whitney Port!

Now, when I take inspiration from a fashion editorial, celeb or someone on the street (street style) it doesn't mean I am doing the exact same ensemble.  It means, I am taking elements from the look to recreate at home with what I already have.  For instance here, I used the mix of prints and accessories to create this look at home for after my pregnancy of course...but, I can't wait to rock the look!

Here, I've got the stripes, the animal print, the layered bangles and the glitzy shoes...nothing is exact, but you see where the inspiration comes from?

Now, I had to comment on the shoes...I have been seeing a lot of sequin shoes rather than glitter this season and I have to get in on the trend!  I LOVE the look!  It definitely brings a basic look to fantastic!  Here are two very different price points for you to choose from.  Both have the same color options to choose from as well:)

I Love J. Crew...I really hope prices don't RISE with the growing popularity:(

Even if you don't have the money to shop at J.Crew right now, check out the styling on the site for inspiration on how to style the clothes you already own differently. Have fun!:)

Poppy Dress-I love the mix of an unexpected "Casual" belt with a "Dressy" dress

Greek Goddess style dress---so unique, I love it!

Rose Print Dress-I instantly fell in love with this dress!

I love the color of this studded belt and it's under $50! I need this for this summer! I have just decided that a skinny belt is essential for preggers women to still create shape...why look like a tent??:)

Paisley Scarf--I NEED this!:)

Crazed for Crop

If you follow my rants on twitter than you already know I am ADDICTED to all types of cropped trousers, but recently I am on the search for a pair of crop/ankle length jeans...I don't want pedal pushers or anything above the calf...I want ankle length jeans to wear with flats or heels...or any type of boot for that matter. They just seem like the perfect jean that I need in my wardrobe and of course...I can't seem to find the right style for moi....Check out a few of the ones I plan to try on my next trip to Phoenix. Plus, I looked to SHOPSTYLE of course and found a million options to choose from:)

Just Because: Pleat Front Dress

Just because I just bought a camel pleat front dress from J. Crew for a mere $19.99 and since I was surfing the dresses on Net-a-Porter to get a fabric inspiration for my fabric store outing manana, I had to share the ever-popular style that I have encountered for a reasonable price if I might say so myself:)
Speaking of Net-a-Porter, I have to say that I am sad to inform that I don't have a lot of information, but that I have read in other blogs that I read everyday like NY Mag and Fashionologie that Net-a-Porter will have an online outlet called the OutNet to share sample sale prices to all it's customers COMING SOON (in Feb).  I will confirm dates and details once I receive a press release.

This is For Fall

Believe it or not, this look by DVF is for Fall and I love it! Why do we have to go dark and heavy for Fall? We are transitioning and this is an exciting look to express that. I LOVE the color combination (jewel tones are strong) and I find the trend of a "sleeveless jacket," which, isn't that just a vest:) a perfect layering piece for the fall as it begins to get cold. Also...the skinny belt seems to stay strong during the fall, so do not chuck any that you have been storing. I think that the JCrew bow skinny metallic belt could be a great investment piece or something for you to watch to go on sale for your fall wardrobe. I think that the mettallics are perfect for fall and the bow would be great paired with a blouse, skirt, or a fabulous dress...it makes any basic look a little special.

From France to Italy, J Crew Takes Off In More Ways Than One This Spring

I keep loving the direction that J Crew is going in with their advertising...and the clothing, accessories and styling of their catalogs is remarkable...I have to give snaps to them...even though I think their price point is a little beyond, I appreciate the creativity that goes into everything that they do.
