The Bright Shift Dress

I have been noticing a lot of shift dresses taking over in vibrant colors like SJP wore in SATC the movie in fuschia and recently in Glamour....taking a basic piece and giving it a WOW factor that you can't miss...well, I decided I LOVED the idea and I wanted to find gold, brown, and burnt orange hues.  This is what I found...anyone know of anywhere else you can find this piece that would be great all year long.  I found all of these on Shop Style.I love this color so much, too bad it costs so much at Barneys...

And, since I am crazy, I decided to look up the difference between the sheath and the shift dress since they look so similar and I showed both...."Sheath: Dress silhouette that's long and lean with a nipped waist - and usually without a waistband - to create an hourglass shape. Its fashion opposite is the boxier, shorter shift dress that hangs from the shoulders and has a loose waist."

Sad News: Steve & Barry Screaming Bankrupt...

What does that mean for our coveted Bitten line by SJP?  Companies like Sears are looking at buying the company...so we shall see what happens...it is interesting, in the WWD article about this, the company states that customers can't deal with prices going up to fix the bankruptcy problem because they are trying to deal with gas prices going up...so, why is it that Gucci, Chanel, LV and many other designer labels aren't fixing prices or dropping down?  I have a pair of Chanel sunglasses that I bought about 4 years ago for about $175 and now they cost more than $250...what gives?  The economy is not getting better?  Many say it is because the rich aren't affected and even if they are, they are keeping up image by still purchasing high end items without even looking at the price tag...I guess sometimes image is everything for people.

Ready, Set, Go: Run to Steve & Barry's As Soon As Possible

I walked into a gold mine this weekend at Steve & Barry's unexpectedly.  The entire store was on sale for only $8.98!  I still can't believe it!  What a deal.  I, of course, took full advantage of all of the Bitten line, which was the first time I had ever seen the line and it was AMAZING!  I was so excited!  There are actually other items than what is online right now, but it is worth checking out the nearest store regardless because even if the sale isn't happening, everything is guaranteed to be less than $20.  Plus, what an easy and inexpensive Christmas gift!  How could someone not be happy to get a SJP item?! 

Am I crazy, or do Sarah Jessica Parker and Celine Dion look like sisters?

I don't know if it is seeing Celine Dion on Oprah last week because of her need to buy new CD or seeing Sarah Jessica Parker on every site, magazine or Celebrity News Show since the taping of Sex and the City the movie, but I seem to find SJP and Celine Dion very similar.  What do you all think:)

Everyone is responding to Maxim's Unsexiest List because SJP was on it...it's funny, because she is on the Fashionista list for so many women...it just shows how different women and men see things...Who cares though SJP, I think it's much greater to be on the cover of Vogue than be listed in some men's magazine...
