I'm going through all of my old clippings and thought I'd share a few things that stand out:
-From People Mag: How to use Baking Soda (ONLY $1!) Use it to exfoliate! Mix 3 parts baking soda into 1 part water for a face and body scrub. Get fresh breath! Stir 1 teaspoon into a half a glass of water, then swish!
-From Glamour Mag: The quickest way to glam up hair; Hit a fabric store for buttons that look like antique brooches. Bobby pin them into a bun or attach to a headband.
-From Glamour Mag: Yogurt as a moisturizer: Grate the skin of a cucumber, mix it with plain yogurt and leave it on for 20 min.
-From Lucky Mag: Trick of the Trade: Getting rid of musty smells:
-What you'll need: One cup distilled white vinegar, plastic hangers, and a bathtub.
-How it's done: Fill your bathtub with steaming water. Mix in one cup of white vinegar (Heinz is Mullin's pick). Next, hang your sweaters on plastic hangers and string them along the shower rod or any convenient spot directly above the tub. Shut the door to allow the steam to penetrate the fibers overnight.
