Free People Changing Room: Cuff Edition

 I really want one of these tops and I LOVE the styling here!  I'm taking notes from two fo the looks to recreate while in Portland:)

Vintage/Thrift Shoppers, Take Note! It's Halloween and the BEST time to shop!

I've been to about 3 different thrift stores from Goodwill to Savers and I've noticed that the Halloween section is the best place for fashionistas!  Getting past all of the actual costumes like Superman there are some amazing vintage and ethnic finds!  Today, I scored almost all of my pieces from the Halloween section and they are pieces that are on trend and found on sites like Nasty Gal, Urban Outfitters and more.  Usually, you have to scour a store, which I LOVE...but, it's nice to finally have a place to find vintage in one section.  It doesn't seem like the fashionistas have realized this yet since I have found a large selection in three stores so far...so get out there and have fun this month!  And, who knows, maybe in November all of these amazing vintage pieces might be half off!  Something to look forward to!

Start fall off on the right foot with socks from Free People

Living in Arizona and heading to India, fall and winter weather really doesn't happen.  When I was presented with a style challenge by Free People and got to choose socks I would like to style for fall I thought the unexpected might be fun and chose a pair of "yoga socks"(spacedye yoga sock) that had cut outs at the toe and heel.  I had just purchased the Free People Minimal Lace Up Heel which has an open toe and heel cut out detail that pairs perfect!   I couldn't choose which look I liked most and they are very different looks so I figured I'd share both:)

I got the grey version of this and can't wait to pair it with a pair of grey jeans!

Who doesn't love a pair of straight leg, mid-rise dark jeans?  I'll be wearing these with everything!

I was so excited when I first won and didn't even care that I wasn't the number one winner.  (Who got to shop with the designer of Paige jeans:)  But, I was sooo excited when I found out I was getting way more than a tote bag!!!  I got to choose from about 3 pairs of Paige jeans in store and I had $200 to choose a top!  How amazing is that!?  And, I got to do it old school, in store rather than online.  I love their boutiques and the ladies helping me were so nice and just as excited as me for my win:)

A new approach to spa week at body +

As a member of the Hot Mom Spa Squad I was lucky to experience spa week (Oct 14-20) a few weeks early for FREE!  I've always participated in the festivities of spa week with friends.  But, we usually do the relaxing services like facials, massages and pedis.  Today, I got to experience spa week with a more beneficial approach at body +.  I had microdermabrasian for the first time and loved the experience!  I went into the experience thinking it might hurt or I might turn red and neither happened:)

The microdermabrasian service was followed with a red and blue LED light session for twenty minutes to benefit collagen and acne.  Taylor massaged my hands/arms for 10 minutes and then I was left to relax for 10 minutes and it was so nice!

These ladies were soo nice!  Great, personal experience!  

This service is perfect for a mommy on the go because you can make it a quick in and out in twenty minutes.  Or, you can do this before a facial or a peel.  Microdermabrasian is a great service to do once a month.

I can't leave out what I wore:)  I'm all about being comfy at spa services...so no makeup and hair in a top knot.  Shades are always a must and the ensemble is: Kimono (I'm addicted right now and it makes a pair of pants and a tank go a long way:), H&M black tank, Missoni pants and Missoni for Havaianas flip flops.

Adventures at Target's #philliplimfortarget excitement today

What I got and what everyone wanted from the #philliplimfortarget line by fashionalities featuring wallets

I woke up bright and early to get to Target for the AMAZING 3.1 Phillip Lim collection.  I got there at 7:30 a.m. and there were already fashionista's waiting at the door scouting out the pieces they wanted from the display at the front of the store.  I went knowing I was interested in the large taupe tote.  I wanted to see the quality before purchasing online.
My friend and I jumped in the front as the doors opened and RAN!  I couldn't believe it!  (P.S. I took my daughter because she decided she wanted to go.  So, I had a cart to push too!:)  I ended up nabbing the bag I wanted, plus a travel wallet I'll be using on our travels in India.  I also, went online and purchased the brown tote that is sold exclusively online.  Everything was really great quality...I noticed everyone was really wanting the small yellow handbag.  It's sold out online and none were left in the store even after a store associate restocked the shelves.   I wish I could do small bags because they were really cute!   If S or Harp were old enough I would totally get one for them...I guess when I see them on sale I'll nab them for much later:)

Coconut Lavender Body Scrub

A scoop on the SJP shoes coming to Nordstroms in 2014

Sadly, there are no pics available yet.  But, here is the scoop I found at Huffington Post Style-one of my go to's for fashion info and trends.

"The collection, with shoe prices ranging from $200 to $300 and bags going for just below $700, will sold exclusively at Nordstrom and hit stores in early 2014."

There you have it...sadly, prices won't be as low as Bitten...but, I'm still curious to see what she has as far as designs go:)
