GLAM GOD LOST ITS BEST

I could not believe that Jess Zaino was let go this week!  I was so surprised and let down...and mostly since this past week was her birthday...that really sucks...but, their loss!  Since she is no longer on the show, I am shooting for Tiger Lily Hill...Her myspace page is interesting...I wonder if she put this together, or if she has an assistant doing it...I am guessing that she is also designing clothes from her site as well....Her company name is Crown Atelier...check it out...I will get images ASAP from the clothing line...everything is really cute with a bit of a vintage edge to it...MOre to come...

Sleep, Eat, Breathe SEX AND THE CITY THE MOVIE

I am literally getting inspiration in my sleep watching the Sex and the City movie...I am serious:)  I wake up with new ideas of what to wear:)  LOL!  And I am crazy enough to buy another copy because I bought the copy which was missing the EXTRAS from the longer ending to remarks about the fashion in the movie...well, right now, I have gone through most of my jewelry precious and costume to start layering...this is an example of what I wore today....the pearls in my hand are really, really long:)  The pieces, an H&M necklace from years ago, the heart necklace is from India and the long necklace is also from H&M:)

I have been Needing...

A perfect plaid blouse for fall to go with my coveted Pour la Victoire Lisette stems...and finally, I found the perfect style on eBAY for the best price ever!  This is an unused J. Crew (I am LOVING every catalog from J. Crew right now...they all have the perfect styling...and go to a store today because everything that is on sale also gets an extra 40% off!  Plus, if you work for this company, you get a clothing allowance...I need to get some hours there:)  plaid blouse that is too goo to be true.

For the shoes...I have the maroon style which I want to wear with this top and I am getting the grey/navy shoe, which I have a billion ensembles put together already for this MUST-HAVE shoe!  Note: The brand, Pour la Victoire is the most comfy shoe you will ever place your footsies into!

Boots, Boots, Boots

I just wore a pair of my most fave shoes today that look soooooooo Chanel-esque that I am swimming in ideas of what to wear them with!
Plus, I am getting my VERY FIRST pair of UGGS this week that are worth the wait!  They have a subtle paisley design that is embossed on the shoe that you can barely tell is there...so it is not gaudy by any means....I am soo in LOVE!

Follow up on Lauren Conrad Skirt

Today I was browsing at OLD NAVY and found a skirt for $6.99 that looks just like the Sally Skirt I have been waiting for by Lauren Conrad, but instead, it is way, way less!  I about scream out loud when I saw it!  The skirt comes in grey and black from what I saw:)
Also, Old Navy has some ballet flats so similar to a pair that I saw at Kate Spade that I did a double take!
To top all of the deals off, Kate Spade stores are selling Kenneth Jay Lane pieces that were once $255 for ONLY $25!  Rush in today!

Another Show...Glam God on VH1

When I first heard about Glam God I knew I had to check it out!  I love all things stylists since I am one as my day-to-day job:)  But, I really LOVE watching reality shows that focus on what we do since it is always inspiring of course...
The review...
I love that Jess Zaino, one of my fave celeb stylists is on the show and is still in the contest...the rest of the stylists I am not familiar with and so far, I don't really think I am amused by...we shall see if that changes...
I am not sure how Vivica is hosting (and producing---I think she should have just done the producing) the show...she doesn't seem to be much of a diva or a stylish celeb anymore either...but, oh well...she is overly dramatic and seems to love the spotlight for now...
I think that the co-host, kind of like the Tim Gunn of the show, Phillip Bloch
I asked Jess Zaino a couple of questions about being on the show and more about her...here's a bit of the interview:

Why did you decide to participate in the VH1 show Glam God?

I WANTED TO PARTICIPATE IN GLAM GOD BECAUSE IN ADDITION TO PROVING MYSELF AS A STYLIST, IT SEEMED LIKE A FUN TIME.

How was it working with Vivica Fox?

MISS VIV IS THE CONSUMATE PROFESSIONAL.

Had you ever worked with any of the stylists featured in the show prior to airing?

NO I HAD NOT.

Have you ever cut up a designer piece like you did on the first episode with the Vera Wang piece?

HA. I LIVE BY THE D.I.Y. CREED,  SO CUTTING THINGS UP IS PART OF MY STYLE. I GUESS I SHOULD HAVE THOUGHT ABOUT IT BEFORE CUTTING THIS PARTICULAR VERA WANG DRESS.

How has it been being on the Style Network and also on various programs like VH1, and where do you plan on being featured next?

I LOVE TO EXPRESS MYSELF THROUGH FASHION, ART AND UNIQUE LIVING; IT JUST SO HAPPENS THAT MY MEDIUM IS TELEVISION. NEXT UP, I AM LAUNCHING AN ACCESSSORY COLLECTION, PUBLIGHING A STYLE BOOK IN 2009 AND HOPEFULLY BOOKING MORE TEEVEE GIGS.

What do you think of the following fashion focused reality shows:

America's Next Top Model

LOVE THE HEART AND SOUL OF THE WANNA BE MODELS

Project Runway

LOVE THE DESIGNS AND INNOVATIONS OF THE COMPETITORS

Rachel Zoe Project

SHE SURPRISINGLY REAL

What are your tips for fashionistas this fall as far as trends and deals go?

IT’S ALL DRIPPING WITH DARK COLORS: RICH PLUMS, GRAY AND BLACK. GET YOURSELF A VAMP NAILPOLISH AND BURBERRY SLIPONS.

Where can we expect to see you next?

Fashion Shows on TV...

Another scene is on your t.v....right now, there are a vast selection of fabulous fashion television shows to view...it seems like every day during the week you can catch something fashion related to watch or Tivo...here are a few of my faves...also, if you want to read reviews...check out one of my fave blogs, Style Television.
Gossip Girl...do I really need to say more?
Rachel Zoe's preview has rerun over and over on Bravo...check it out...it looks like it will be a fun season.
American's Next Top Model seems to be on another level, literally...they have taken it to some other place outside of this universe and I am trying to catch why anyone would add so many costumes---literally...but, we shall see...I already have my favorites...we shall see who sticks with it this season.
How to Look Good Naked, keeps going and is putting a spin on looking beautiful with fashion...I love this show!
Project Runway---amazing as ever!  I always hear people talking about it like the designers are just ok...I am like, I would like to see you work under this type of stress!  Some of the guest judges have been random...but, it is a show...what do you expect...they have to change things up somehow to keep us talking:)

Fashion Week is ON!

Another New York fashion week is occurring and I am missing it again:( Boo-hoo...but, life goes on, I guess...
But, there are grand happenings that are making it much easier for people like moi to experience all of the fashion happenings on a variety of levels.
A.  First and foremost, one of my fave bloggers, The Most Knowledgeable Fashion Blogger I know, Sarah Conley from Style It Online sharing all of her experiences through her blog at New York Fashion Week.
B.  All iPhone holders---I am now one:)  Can access fashion week and fab fashion blogs during the week of every fab fashion week via your iPhone.  I was soo excited when I read about this in the NYT two weeks ago!  Makes me proud to be an iPhone holder:) They think of everything.  "Designer Collections Packed Into An iPhone."
C.  Just keeping up with fashion everywhere...seems like everyone is emailing me updates from their perspective of fashion week...here are a few to flip through:
